Aerial cranes, also known as bridge cranes, are load handling and hoisting systems widely used in industrial environments. They consist of a support structure and one or more hoists that lift and transport loads across the widest possible work area using accessories such as hooks, magnets, or specialized tools.
Bridge cranes can be designed with one (monorail), two (double-rail), or multiple beams, moving along longitudinal rails across the facility. The hoist is mounted on a trolley that travels along the transverse beam, which in turn moves over the longitudinal beams supported by rail-mounted end trucks.
